From
Jim Browder - JB Tours:
Monday 9:34 a.m.
Dear Friend,
Memphis is a
pilgrimage for those wanting to visit the
birthplace of the blues, of soul and of rock 'n'
roll. On Beale Street, W.C. Handy put down on
paper the first written blues music.
Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny
Cash all recorded at the historic Sun Records,
which is now a museum. Graceland, the second
most-visited home in America, welcomes visitors
from around the world who yearn for a peek into
the life of "the King."
Beyond the music, Tennessee's largest city also
offers much more. It has more sunny days each
year than Miami, and combines southern tradition
and hospitality with modern amenities.
You'll enjoy great dining (be sure to sample the
barbecued ribs), art galleries and exciting
nightlife.

Southern
hospitality, the beauty of the Mississippi
Delta, and decades of musical history
highlight the sites around Memphis, Tennessee,
and with the Memphis
Tour Package, you'll enjoy the
very best!
The Memphis
Tour will give you a fantastic overview of the
Memphis area. Sights along the tour include
Graceland, historic Sun Studio, the Mighty
Mississippi River, Beale Street, and more.
You'll see the site of the Lorraine Motel,
where Martin Luther King, Jr was tragically
assassinated, as well as the National Civil
Rights Museum that now stands there. As you go
by Beale Street, be sure to take note of where
you'd like to come back to for live music and
festival atmosphere when the sun sets over the
Mississippi.

You'll also have
your choice of popular Memphis attractions,
including lunch or dinner at the Hard Rock
Cafe or Blues City Cafe on Beale Street. If
you're not feeling hungry, head down instead
to Mud Island River Park to enjoy the unique
attractions on the banks of Old Man River. You
can choose to spend time exploring that
inspiring National Civil Rights Museum, or
take to the kids to the exciting Children's
Museum of Memphis. Of course, Memphis is known
for its musical impact and influence, so you
might decide on one of the popular Elvis
Presley attractions - the Graceland Platinum
Tour or a guided tour of Sun Studio.
You can keep
the musical theme going when you choose your
Memphis museum experience. Check out the
Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, or focus just on
soul at the Stax Museum of American Soul
Museum. If you're a fan of incredible
four-dimensional experiences, select the Pink
Palace Museum Combo, which includes admission
to the museum and tickets to one of the
current IMAX films. Other options include the
Children's Museum of Memphis or the National
Civil Rights Museum.

Have fun designing
your custom Memphis Tour Package, and have a
great trip to the Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll!
